Latifah and Hudson Land Sitcom DealsRapper-turned-actress Queen Latifah and new mom Kate Hudson have both signed up to produce their own sitcoms.
"Chicago" star Latifah is executive producing "WHOT," a new take on the '70s series "WKRP in Cincinnati," where a young white woman gets hired as the manager for a hip-hop station.
Hudson's show - "I Do, I Did, Now What?" - is based on the best-selling book by Jenny Lee, focusing on couples after they marry.
If given the go-ahead to be made into a full series, both shows will air on UPN.Somethin' tells me that I'm gonna love Latifah's show for the simple fact that I used to love watchin' WKRP when I was growin' up. In any case, she and her momma are smart business women!
