Will Meagan Goode get the boot?

It has come to the attention of Aaliyah fans that there is currently a film in the works about the late singers life. The role of Baby Girl is said to be played by Meagan Goode. The collective opinion about this decision among her fans is not positive at all. As a dedicated fan, I have read many comments stating that this is not a good choice. While there is no denying Meagan Goodes acting ability, we are plagued by the fact that Meagan does not resemble Aaliyah nor do we feel she will be able to convincingly portray what Aaliyah fans loved most about her. Her genuine, sweet and fun loving personality.

Aaliyah fans, which reach in the millions, have stated that if this were to continue as is, there will be little support on their part. We feel that if this project is going to be done, it should be done right. We love and respect the wishes of the Haughton family, but ask that this be taken into serious consideration.
