Star Of 'The Jeffersons' Dies Sanford Received Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame This YearLOS ANGELES -- Actress Isabel Sanford has died of natural causes in a Los Angeles hospital.
Her longtime manager reports the Emmy award-winning star of the long-running "The Jeffersons" television series died Friday in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Sanford began playing "Weezie" Jefferson in the "All in the Family" series in 1971.
"The Jeffersons" followed for eleven seasons.
Sanford played Tillie the housekeeper in the 1967 film, "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner."
Earlier this year, Sanford was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
At the time, the native New Yorker said she was honored to have her own star.
As Sanford put it, "Here with stars in my eyes -- something that I dreamed about when I was nine years old. There are others that deserve it, but let everybody get their own."OMG!!! This is like losin' an actual family member because I been watchin' Weezie ever since I could rememba on both "The Jeffersons" and "Archie Bunker". She will definitely be missed! R.I.P. Weezie.

Since I pretty much keep my tv on "TV Land", last night I saw that they're gonna be showin' a mini-marathon of "The Jeffersons" in her honor tonight beginnin' at 8 if anybody wants to check it out. I know already got my tape set for it! I juss wish I could hurry up and find the entire season 1 episodes on DVD. I have season 2, but the very first episodes were tha' bomb, IMO! That George is somethin' else--lol.
