I wrote this poem for my boyfriend and I thought I should share it with y'all because you guys are fam to me and it's kinda cool:
Let me tell you about this man
Who I once thought my conscience created
While I slept he kept my desires sated
That invaded my dreams as a faceless being
Reciting vows of forever and I mothering his seed
I gave up on him being an earthly reality
And at night I prayed for this ethereal being
Only to awake and he’s nowhere to be seen
Then…As if sent here for me my life he touched
Captivated my spirit and stole my heart
Gave to me the sweetest love
And held me close, never giving me up
Although mortal in touch he is so very heavenly
I thank God every day for what he sent to me
I see the joy in his eyes whenever I’m at his side
It’s in my heart he resides spiritually
I cherish him and thank the heavens for his presence
This man is now my King
The epitome of Nubian royalty
It’s heaven on earth when he holds me
I am blessed by every kiss from his lips
My body I give to him as my greatest gift
I was sent by the Gods to reign at his side
To protect him and let nothing again tarnish his pride
I am His Queen, his world, the keeper of his heart
Never letting any danger come near the treasure I hold most dear
Forever indebted to guard his soul
For what he’s brought me…a love divine and whole
Destiny is what I see in the eyes of my love
He is ethereal royalty…my angel from above
Now I know this one thing to be true
My conscience didn’t create him…
It was preparing me for you.
