NICK IS QUICK ON HIS FEET: With multiple projects he has to be.*Once upon a time young actor Nick Cannon had a lot of, well, time on his hands. He could be seen on Nickelodeon, but that was about it. These days he's in videos, on the radio and in films. He's a veritable media madman. He stars in the film "Love Don't Cost a Thing," in "The Nick Cannon Show" on the aforementioned network and he has a hit single with "Gigolo" from his self-titled album. He's even got a role in the upcoming "Garfield" film. He's also executive producer of the action-adventure film "Underclassman."
With all that going on, we guess he sometimes has a hard time keeping his roles straight.
"Last time I was on Nickelodeon I was performing live, and usually when I perform I take my shirt and throw my clothes out into the audience," Cannon told the San Francisco Chronicle on Sunday. "I guess I kind of forgot I was doing a show for kids, and the fire marshall jumped onstage in the middle of the show and told me I couldn't be throwing stuff in the audience because they might get hurt."
By the way, Cannon said he plays the voice of Louis the Mouse in the new "Garfield" movie.
"My character actually likes macadamia nut cookies, "Cannon said. "I had to vibe off of those."I don't know about anybody else, but as much as I love Nicky-Poo...he really needs to stick to actin'. Aside from "Gigolo" and "Whenever You Need Me" f/Mary J., I juss can't get into his music.
