RS : How has The Parkers changed your life?
CV: It has changed my life in many ways. I discovered my calling, which is acting. The cast was wonderful. Off and on set, Monique and I were like mother and daughter. She has taught me a lot through the years.
RS: How do you feel about the cancellation of The Parkers?
CV: Every show must come to an end at some point. I'm just glad that we were able to make people laugh and bring some new prospectives to everyone's lives via our comedic scripts and themes.
RS: Is it true that you will be releasing an album soon?
CV: Yes it is.
RS: What made you want to become an artist professionally?
CV: Today, the music industry is saturated with artists who can't even sing, and use their looks to get sales. I am bringing a new challenge to these artists, and hopefully I will be setting an example.
RS: What do you think about Beyonce's solo success?
CV: I think Beyonce is a great artist. Her voice is alright, and her songs are very nice. She deserves the recognition she gets. But can she do one video with her clothes on? And I think she needs to lose some weight.
RS: What are your views on your former co-star, Brandy Norwood, making a comeback?
CV: I love Brandy's music, but I purposely set my release date after hers to give her direct competition. We were always compettitive on the MOESHA set. Now we can compete on the Billboard charts. I look forward to outselling her.
RS: When did you start singing?
CV: I have been singing since I could talk!
RS: Have you ever been compared to any established artists?
CV: Yes. It's annoying, but people often compare my voice to Whitney Houston's. I think I sound more like Mariah Carey, though.
RS: Is acting in the near future for you?
CV: No time soon. I am concentrating on my album.
RS: Is there anything you would like to say to your current and prospective fans watching?
CV: Watch out, guys! Real talent is on its way.
How she talking about Beyonce need to lose weight.....when she ten times bigger!
