Man Loses Legs In Freak Accident
Victim Drops Crowbar Into Tire Shredder, Jumps In To Get It
FORT WORTH, Texas -- A Fort Worth man is speaking out after losing his legs in a freak accident.
The incident happened Friday in the 3800 block of N. Commerce Street.
Ignacio Romero dropped a crowbar into a tire shredder and then jumped in to get it.
The jam suddenly cleared, and the machine severed his legs at mid-calf.
"I was yelling at them to stop the machine but it caught my other leg and, had I not gotten up, it would have shattered me completely," he said.
The company that employs Romero has set up a bank account to help cover his medical bills.
I'm not tryna be funny or anything, but somethin' tells me this man shouldn't have been around any type of tools in the first place! ::SMH::
