Summer:
The warm and breezy morning air was just what I needed to relax me for my meeting with the possible buyer of a five-bedroom home in a gated community of Savannah called River Oaks. I sold a house in this same community a year ago and made a very PHAT commission. As a matter of fact, I’ve been one of the five top realtors out of the twelve realtors in my uncle’s family-owned business within the past year-and-a-half although I’ve been employed with him for the past four years. He and I both tried to talk my mother, his older sister, into making the move from North Carolina to Georgia with me, but being that she’s always been stubborn she wouldn’t budge saying that she’d never leave her home.
Anyway, I was told a couple of days ago that the buyer I’ll be meeting with this morning is a new and very well-known celebrity who had his assistant call me to set up the appointment for him without giving me his name in order to keep his anonymity until our appointed time to meet. Maybe it’s because I always stay professional when it comes to my job, but I was a bit perturbed that I wasn’t allowed to know any information about him which made me feel like I wouldn’t be taken seriously as a realtor who was working hard for the money like the next person; instead, it was presumed that I was going to turn out to be some type of starry-eyed groupie trying to talk him into buying a home.
After checking in at the guard’s station, I zoomed my Infiniti G Coupe through the winding roadway until I was in front of the home I was already determined to sale on today. Since I was the first one to arrive, I decided to wait in my car and called Talia up.
“W’sup?”
“Hey, girl. I have a few minutes to kill waitin’ on my appointment to show up so I thought I’d call to see if you were still gonna be free at lunch time?”
“Yup. Business is always kinda slow on Mondays for me. I’ve only done the retightening of one weave and one relaxer.”
“Whewwww…I rememba those days of gettin’ my weaves retightened,” I chuckled as I ran my hand across the top of my super-short cut. “That mess started doin’ a number on my scalp though. I mean it pays to be beautiful, but damn!”
Talia and I both began to laugh.
“Whateva, crazy. But how ‘bout Cliffy been blowin’ up my phone since last night after I hung up with you.”
“That nigga betta get a clue and take his ass on somewhere.”
“I know right. Like Nas said yesterday, I deserve better.”
“Huh? Wait a minute; what’chu meannnn ‘like Nas said’? You ain’t tell me nothin’ about alllll dat! I want details.”
“Girl, shut up. You know we’re neighbors and he always comes to the shop to get trimmed.”
“You sure you don’t mean to GET some trim,” I giggled.
“Heffa, please. Don’t be funny.”
“Nah, girl. I’m just sayin’, I never knew you had conversations with him like DAT!”
“To always act so bougiose and uppity, you forever usin’ bad English and ghetto talk.”
“Like you have room to say anything. It’s not ‘you forever’; it’s ‘YOU’RE’ forever,” I corrected.
“Of course I have room to talk. I don’t be actin’ all high-class when I know I come from the ‘hood.”
“Don’t be mad ‘cause I know how to switch from Ghetto Queen to Diva Extrodanaire just like that,” I replied with a snap of my finger.
Just then, I glanced in my rearview mirror and noticed a black Escalade with tinted windows pulling up behind me. “Oh, my appointment is pullin’ up. I’ll be by the shop around 12:00 or 12:30.”
“A’ight. See ya.”
“Buh bye.”
After ending my call, I quickly stepped out of my ride and smoothed out my light yellow Chanel suit that was my good luck outfit for successfully selling a home or a piece of property. As I stood waiting next to my car, I watched as the driver’s side door slowly opened. A heavyset man who bore a striking resemblance to Barry White in both looks and size strolled to the back driver’s side door and opened it. Several seconds later, I watched as Keedar Whittle, the new reality tv star of a show on BET, stepped out. He was dressed in a white Polo shirt, a pair of tan slacks, and a black pair of Stacy Adams.
“Good morning. Miss Dereggieoh?” he smiled as he headed towards me with an outstretched hand.
“Derezerio,” I corrected with a fake smile as he and I exchanged a handshake. “It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Whittle.”
“Ohhh, okay. I take it you’ve seen my work on BET?” I didn’t like how he was still tightly holding onto my hand while grinning from ear to ear.
“Just once or twice,” I replied in an indifferent tone before turning around. “If you’ll follow me, please.” If there was one type of man I couldn’t stand, it was an arrogant one. Little did I know that my attitude towards this clown would soon backfire on me. I didn’t see it, but as he followed me up the steps and into the house, he was rubbing his hands together while wearing a sadistic grin on his face.
Over the next several minutes as I showed him around both downstairs and upstairs, I noticed that he wanted to talk about any and everything else; especially when we stepped out back so that I could show him around the pool area.
“Do you like to swim, Miss Derezerio?”
“No I don’t. The chlorine is murder on my hair,” I snipped as I showed him the swimming pool without giving him as much as a glance.
Moving on to the jacuzzi area, he took it one step too far.
“Please tell me that you love jacuzzis,” he grinned.
“Mr. Whittle, why would it matter? I’m not the one interested in purchasing this home.”
“That doesn’t mean you can’t be invited over here to relax in it with me if a jacuzzi is a better choice for you than a pool.”
Throwing daggers at him with my eyes, I went off. “Don’t ever come at me like that again! I don’t know what type of impression I have made on you, but trust and believe that the one thing I’m NOT is a woman who’s impressed by the likes of you no matter who you are or what it is that you do.”
“Whoa, Ma. My bad.”
“Please refer to me as Miss Derezerio, Mr. Whittle. Maybe we should end this here. I’ll go back to the office and see if another realtor can meet with you if you’re still interested in this place.”
“Miss Derezerio, I apologize for everything I have said to you. I need to learn to be more of a professional such as yourself. I guess all I saw was a lovely young lady before me and I kinda ran with it. Can you ever forgive me?”
My first reaction was laughter which made him laugh. “Sure, I forgive you this time. Now if you’d like, we can still set you up with another realtor.”
“I wouldn’t like that. You’ve done a great job with everything and I’m totally sold on this place.”
“Really?” I beamed.
“Really.”
“Okay, well whenever you’re available to come by the office, we can write up the paperwork and whatnot.”
“Is it possible for us to do it over dinner?” he asked with a hopeful grin.
“I’m not sure if that’s a good idea due to business ethics.”
“Okay, let’s make it a business dinner. Or would your husband be comfortable with that?” I noticed how he glanced at my ring finger that was empty.
“Smooth, Mr. Whittle…really, really smooth.”
We both began to laugh.
“I try,” he chuckled.
“Well, I don’t have a husband, but I have been seeing someone for quite some time now.”
“Oh. Well…,” he started until I interrupted him.
“Is tonight a good night to discuss all the details over our business dinner?”
“Sure,” he grinned.
“Okay. Where shall we meet and what time?”
“How about Trois at 7:30?”
“Sounds like a plan. I’ll bring the paperwork along.”
Once we headed back out front, Keedar walked me over to my car and held my door open for me until I climbed behind the wheel.
“Thanks again, Miss Derezerio.”
“Call me Summer,” I smiled before driving off.

Talia:
I was standing at my booth taking my plate of Shrimp Linguini Alfredo from Red Lobster from Nas that he picked up for me when Summer came strolling through the door while pushing her Chanel shades up on her head.
“W’sup?” I smiled as she approached us.
“’Sup? You ready to go do that thing?”
“Yup. Oh you remember Nas don’tchu?”
“Yeah. Nice to see you again,” she smiled while giving him the head nod.
“You too,” he smiled back before facing me again. “Anything else you need for me to do before I go?”
“Nah, I’m straight. But let me pay you for this lunch.”
“I told you it’s no problem. And thanks again for the hook-up on my cut.”
“You’re welcome.”
“A’ight, well I’m out. See ya lata. And nice seein’ you again,” he smiled as he walked past Summer.
“A’ight then. You too,” she grinned as she slowly turned to watch him leave. As soon as the door closed behind him, she whirled around to face me. “Honey child…damn! You betta find some way of gettin’ and keepin’ DAT!”
“Shut up!” I laughed with a look of embarrassment while everyone else who was in the shop laughed.
“Hey, Boo…you can handle the shop until we get back, right?” Summer asked my male barber, Donnivin, as she and I headed for the door.
“Of course I can. I’ll be waitin’ for ya when ya get back. Yes ma’am…I’ll be right here,” he grinned while watching how her skirt clung to her booty.
“Oh lawd,” I huffed as I followed her outside.
As we made our way over to her car, she stopped in her tracks. “You gon’ eat that in my ride?”
“Yeah…what’s the problem?”
“The problem is that you gon’ have my car smellin’ like fish and shit!”
“Just spray some Febreze around in it; it’ll cover it up,” I replied as I opened her door to get in.
“It would be betta if we rode in your car and I drive.”
“Nuh uhhhhhh…I ain’t gon’ have my damn car smellin’ like fish and shit.” I proceeded to lift the top off of my plate allowing the tasty aroma to fill the air.
“You selfish bitch. You make me sick.” Summer huffed as she flopped down in the driver’s seat.
“If I’ma a bitch then you KNOW you one! Hell, you been one ever since we met.”
“Fuck you!”
“Nah, boo…you know I don’t roll like that,” I replied with a mouthful of food as she pulled out into traffic.
“Anyway, ho…I sold the house,” she proudly grinned.
“For real?! Congratulations! Who ya sell it to?”
“Ya know that guy named Keedar from that new show on BET?”
“Which show?”
“The one where they be playin’ pranks on people and stuff and a lil’ midget comes runnin’ out? I can’t rememba what it’s called because I’ve never really watched it.”
I sat and thought for a minute as I continued to eat. “Ohhhhhhh…somethin’ about takin’ people on bad dates?”
“Yeah, that’s it.”
“Keedar…Keedar. How he look?”
“He’s the one up there with the goatee; he sorta favors Avant.”
“Okay, yeah. How was it bein’ in his fine-ass presence?” At this point, I was more interested in what Summer had to say instead of chowing down on my lunch.
“He was a COMPLETE a$$hole in the beginnin’, but after I told him off, he turned out to be cool.”
“What’chu mean a complete a$$hole? What? He act like he had it goin’ on or somethin’?”
“Somethin’ like that, but he was basically invitin’ me to hang out with him in his jacuzzi and shit if he decided to buy the house.”
“Damn! So what happened?”
“We’ve made plans to go to Trois tonight to go over the paperwork since he’s decided to buy it,” she smirked.
“Good, maybe you can finally get rid of Howard.” I immediately went back to eating my lunch.
“What makes you think this is gonna make me give him up?” she quickly snapped while giving me a quick glare as she weaved in and out of the busy lunch time traffic.
“I done told your ass somethin’ ain’t right with that nigga. Either he’s married or he’s livin’ with some female.”
“And I done told your ass that’s not so.”
“A’ight, if you say so. So are you gonna tell him that you’re havin’ a ‘business dinner’ with one of the most handsome and eligible bachelors on tv right now?”
“No…what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him.”
“My point exactly.”
“The point is on top of your damn head.”
“Whateva.”
The rest of the ride over to Cliffy’s place was done in silence. I could tell that I had struck a nerve the moment I started dogging out Howard; but oh well…I’m trying to look out for my friend before it’s too late.
Upon arriving at Cliffy’s apartment, we noticed that his Lexus GX was in his parking space.
“Damn, he’s here,” I huffed. “I guess we need to make this quick.”
“Yup,” she agreed as she walked inside behind me. However, I didn’t like the look she was wearing on her face. It was a look between hurt and pure hatred.
“So you ready to talk?” he asked as soon as I used my key to come inside.
“Hell no,” I mumbled as I walked past him while he stood up from the sofa where he was watching tv.
“Wait a minute? What’s goin’ on with this?” He proceeded to watch Summer as she stepped inside.
“I’ll be waitin’ right here unless you need me to help you get the rest of your things together,” she evenly replied while standing next to the door as she glared at Cliffy.
“Lia. What the fuck, man?! Don’t tell me you gonna believe some trick-ass ho over me?! I told you that bitch lyin’; I didn’t get her ass pregnant!”
“Cliffy, whateva. I’m tired, do you hear me? I’m tired of goin’ through all these different changes with you. I told you enough is enough for me. I’m DONE.”
“C’mon, boo…don’t be that way,” he pleaded while trying to pull me into his arms as I attempted to make my way down the hall to his bedroom to get the rest of my belongings.
“Don’t listen to shit he gotta say!” Summer yelled as she came storming up behind us.
“You need to mind your fuckin’ business!” he yelled as he whirled around on her.
She started laughing while wearing an evil look without flinching even though he closely walked up on her. “I need to what?”
“You heard me, you need…,” he repeated until he and I both saw her rolling up her sleeves as she stared him down. She immediately began to bounce around while throwing her fists up.
“Nigga, I wish your monkey ass would do somethin’! C’mon, do somethin’!”
When he started laughing while looking up in the air, Summer became more pissed and pushed up on him while outstretching her arms at her sides.
“Oh, it’s funny, muthaphucka?! Huh?! WHAT!!! WHAT!!!”
“Yo, Lia…you need to get your girl off me!” he commanded while backing up from her although she kept coming at him.
“Go wait in the car, Summer!” I yelled as I quickly stepped in between them.
“Yeah, Summer…go fuck up anotha marriage!” he smirked as I was pulling her towards the door.
“Cliffy!!!” I shouted while glancing over at him. When I turned around to face Summer, she was already opening the door to leave.
“Wait, I’m sorry…he didn’t mean it,” I sighed. I watched her as she put her hand up while stepping outside.
“C’mon, let’s work this out,” he smiled as he held his arms out while walking over to me.
As soon as we were standing face-to-face, I reached up and slapped him with all of my might. “You and your big ass mouth and your sorry ass ways! Keep everything that I have here; shit, burn it or toss it out for all I care!”
I immediately made my way outside and over to Summer’s car. I noticed that she was slumped over her steering wheel with her head inside her arms.
“Damn,” I quietly sighed as I opened the door to get in next to her. “Summer, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know he was gonna go there with you.”
She slowly lifted her head up and looked straight ahead. “So I guess everyone thinks he’s married except dumb ol’ me,” she sniffed.
“It’s not like that, it’s just…I’on’t know.”
“Where are your things?”
“I don’t want any of it. Let’s just go,” I heavily sighed as I settled back into my seat.
Summer started up the engine and quickly zoomed out of the parking lot. Several times on the way back to my shop, her phone would play Minnie Riperton’s “Inside My Love”. I asked one of those times if she wanted me to answer it for her, but she quietly stated that it wasn’t anybody but Howard.
Once we arrived back at the shop, I thanked her and was about to get out when I quickly turned back around and gave her a big hug while repeatedly apologizing.
“It’s okay. I gotta go,” she sighed as she pulled back. She watched me as I made my way back into the shop. When she saw the door close behind me, she pulled off and made her way to her office to gather the necessary paperwork to take with her to dinner later on.

Summer:
After taking a much needed nap once I made it home, I woke up to the sound of my home phone ringing. When I glanced up at my wall clock hanging up across from my bed I saw that it was going on 5:00. Slowly sitting up, I stretched and yawned as the phone continued to ring. I decided to let the machine pick it up; it was Howard.
“Summer, where have you been all day? I’ve called your cell a dozen times and even came by your office. W’sup wit’chu? Where your ass at?”
I picked up the phone in the middle of the message. “Yes?”
“I been tryna get up with your ass all day? How come you ain’t take none of my calls?” he barked.
“Not right now. I’ve had a busy day and I gotta get ready for a business dinner in a few hours,” I sighed as I curled up on my side after lying back down.
“What kinda business dinner?”
“Just a business dinner with a client. I sold him the house I showed him this mornin’ and…,” I tried to explain.
“Tha’ fuck you mean ‘him’?!”
“Hold up…don’t even go there with me,” I huffed with a roll of my eyes.
“He betta be some ol’ white man; that’s all I know,” he huffed back.
“What if he ain’t? You know in my line of work I meet all kinds of buyers.”
“But your ass ain’t never been out on a date with one.”
“It’s not a date. And anyway, where the hell is all of this damn jealousy comin’ from all of a sudden?”
Ignoring my question, he began to drill me with some of his own questions. “What time are you goin’, what restaurant are you goin’ to, and what time do you expect to be back?”
“Oh I don’t EVEN believe this shit,” I laughed.
“I’m not playin’ with you, Summer,” he warned.
“Bye. I gotta get ready.” I quickly hung up on him and tossed my phone to the other side of my bed.
“Hmmmph…he’s jealous. That proves there’s no one else but me,” I thought to myself while smiling up at the ceiling. Afterwards, I set my clock to wake me up at 6:00 so I could meet Keedar on time for dinner.
Talia:
I was sitting out back on my patio sipping on a glass of White Zinfandel while listening to a Boney James CD when I heard someone calling out to me.
“Earth to Talia,” Nas grinned as he approached me. He was heading back to his apartment from dumping a bag of garbage into the dumpster that was about fifty yards from the back of our apartment building. I guess I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I didn’t even see when he walked across the lot to dump his trash.
I quickly adjusted my slouching posture and put on a smile as he came closer.
“Hi,” I smiled.
“Everything a’ight? You look like somethin’s wrong.” He proceeded to sit in the empty lawn chair next to me.
“Same ol’, same ol’,” I heavily sighed with a shake of my head. I downed the rest of my drink.
“Why don’t I take you out to dinner and we can talk about it if you want to,” he suggested.
“Thanks, but I don’t feel like goin’ out. Maybe another time?”
“Okay, or if you want, I could order us Chinese delivery.”
“Mmmm…sounds good, but I’on’t know…I’d hate to put a damper on your mood.”
“C’mon, now. You know that’s not possible. Besides, if you talk things out you’ll feel better,” he grinned as we stood up to go inside my place.
“How come I couldn’t have found you sooner?” I thought to myself as I glanced over my shoulder and smiled at him.

Summer:
“Well it looks like everything is a done deal,” I proudly smiled as Keedar walked me over to my car after dinner.
“It’s been a pleasure doing business with you,” he grinned before giving me a friendly hug. “Say listen, I hope I’m not being too forward, but what would you say to a friendly nightcap?”
“No, I shouldn’t. I have to get an early start on things tomorrow and like I explained earlier, I’m seeing someone and well…you know how it is.”
“My loss, huh?” I felt a warm feeling go through me when he lightly ran his index finger down the side of my face.
“I really should be going. Thanks again for the dinner.”
“You’re more than welcome,” he grinned as he held my door open for me to get in.
“Have a safe drive home,” I faintly smiled.
“You do the same.” He closed my door and watched me until I pulled out of the parking lot into the traffic.
As soon as I pulled up to a stoplight, I pulled my phone from my purse and saw that I had missed six phone calls from Howard. I was glad that I had put my phone on vibrate. Otherwise, I would’ve had an embarrassing dinner. Just as I was putting my phone back in my purse while waiting for the light to turn green, it began to buzz again. It was Howard.
“Ugggh!” I huffed as I dropped the phone back inside my purse.
When I arrived home close to thirty minutes later, I was shocked and then pissed off that Howard was parked in the empty space next to my parking space. He’s never been to my place during the week unless it was on a Friday or Saturday night when neither one of us felt like driving to Atlanta for a weekend getaway.
“It’s almost 10:00. Since when did a business dinner take that long?” he asked immediately after jumping out of his Benz.
“Nigga, please. It’s late and I’m tired.” I continued to walk up my walkway without looking back at him as he followed me.
“You damn right it’s late. You sure all you did was go to dinner?”
“Oooh damn…your ass better be glad I’m not in the mood for this,” I sarcastically chuckled as I walked inside my place.
“C’mere,” he demanded as he yanked me back by my arm before I could make it all the way into my living room.
“What’s wrong with you?!”
Instead of answering me, he slammed my back up against the door and pressed his body into mine so I couldn’t move. He quickly reached up and turned my head from one side to the other even though I was trying to fight him off. That’s when I realized he was checking me out for marks. But he didn’t stop there; while I continued to cuss and fuss at him about letting me go, he stood back far enough to snatch my silk blouse open to continue his inspection. When he didn’t see any marks on my chest like the ones he’d leave on me at times, he quickly did an about face and headed for my bedroom.
“You are crazy!” I screamed as I gathered the buttons from the floor that he ripped from my blouse. By the time I reached my bedroom, he had already yanked my covers back to inspect the sheets. When he didn’t find any evidence on them, he picked up each one of my pillows placing them up to his face to smell them.
“Get outta here! Go!” I began to pound him in his back and shoulders with my fists as he headed for my bathroom.
“You betta not be fuckin’ around on me,” he angrily stated as he yanked the shower curtains back. When he didn’t find what he was looking for in there, he began to go through my medicine cabinets and drawers. That’s when I left him in the bathroom by himself and returned to my bedroom.
When he was done with his bathroom inspection, he began to call my name as he left out. Several seconds later, he came back in my bedroom and found me curled up on my side of the bed with my back to the door. I couldn’t stop my tears from falling.
“I’m sorry, baby. I didn’t mean to go there like I just did, but when you didn’t answer any of my calls today and then when I found out you were havin’ dinner with someone else besides me even though it was business…shit…I lost it.” By this time he was lying down next to me and pulling me towards him.
“Is that your way of showin’ your love for me? Last time I checked love was based on trust and if you can’t trust me then we don’t need to be together,” I replied as I looked up at him through tear-filled eyes.
“No, please don’t say that…please,” he begged as he began to kiss and finish undressing me. “I’m never gonna allow you to leave me.”
For some reason his last statement bothered me, but not as much as when he began to make love to me without taking any precautions.
“Wait, you didn’t put anything on,” I told him while trying to push him away.
He placed a finger on my mouth before kissing me. “Shhhh…it doesn’t matter because we’re gonna always be together.”
Something about this whole situation was beginning to scare me.
Nas:
I’m glad that I talked Talia into having dinner with me. We were sitting on her floor eating Chinese takeout from various cartons that were scattered about on her coffee table while laughing and talking about life. However, that soon changed.
Talia let out a heavy sigh when she picked up her cell phone and glanced at it. She didn’t have to tell me who it was because I already knew.
“Excuse me,” she quietly said to me before putting the phone up to her ear. “What is it?”
“C’mon, now…you gotta shake that shit off that you mad at me about,” Meth grinned the moment he heard her voice.
“Look, I’ve told you more than once that I’m done.”
“Your mouth might be sayin’ it, but you know that your heart is tellin’ you somethin’ different.”
She let out a heavy sigh and was about to speak when she heard a female voice in the background.
“When you gonna go get some more drinks for us, boo?”
“Who is that?” Talia calmly asked.
“That ain’t nobody; I’m over at one of my boys’ house for a lil’ get together.”
“Quit lyin’ and let her know what’s really up between us,” the female voice replied in a louder tone to make sure that she was heard.
“Your ass got the nerve to be callin’ me when you around some bitch that’s tryna be funny?!”
At this point, I got up and went to the bathroom to give her some privacy. But damn she need to let that nigga know what time it is and that he needs to bounce for good.
“It’s not like that though,” he tried to explain before Talia hung up on him.
“Maybe I should be goin,” I announced as I came back into the living room a minute or two later.
She slowly stood up from the floor. “I’m sorry about that, but if you have to leave I understand.”
“I mean I know you have to work tomorrow and…well I don’t want to keep you up too late.”
We both proceeded to walk over to her door in silence.
“Thank you for everything,” she smiled before leaning forward and placing a soft kiss on my cheek.
“Anytime,” I smiled back.
Once I reached my place, I took a quick shower and went to bed for the night since I knew I had to be up for work in the morning.
Back at Talia’s place, she was trying her best to fall asleep although she couldn’t and to make it worse a loud thunderstorm came up out of nowhere.
“Damn,” she sighed as she began to toss and turn even more while trying to tune the storm out of her ears. However, it only made her think of Meth even more because he always held her close during a thunderstorm because he knew she was somewhat afraid of them.
I was about to doze back off when my phone rang. When I glanced at my ID I saw that it was her.
“Yeah, w’sup?”
“Could you open the door for me? I’m on my way,” she replied.
“Yeah, yeah…see ya in a minute.”
Close to two minutes later she was ringing my doorbell.
“C’mon in.” I quickly pulled her inside from out of the downpour. “Everything okay?”
“Yeah and no…I mean I’m okay, but I just couldn’t sleep because of the storm. I can crash in here on the couch if that’s okay with you.”
“I’m not gonna let you sleep on the couch. You take my bed and I’ll sleep out here,” I offered with a smile while taking her hands into mine.
“You’d do that for me?”
“What wouldn’t I do for you?”
“C’mere,” she smiled as she placed one of her hands underneath my chin while pulling my face towards hers. For a brief moment we shared more than just a friendly kiss. When it was over, she asked me to lead her to my bedroom. Once we were on the bed, she slid underneath the covers while I lay on top of them next to her although I held her close to me.
“It feels so right being here next to you,” she sighed as she continuously stroked the side of my face with her fingertips.
I responded to her statement with a soft kiss. But this time instead of stopping myself, I continued on until I found myself underneath the covers with her. When I did come to my senses, I abruptly came to a halt.
“Damn, my bad. I’m goin’ out to the couch.” I was about to get up until Talia stopped me.
“No…please stay in here with me,” she whispered as she sat up and grabbed up to my hand.
“Are you sure?”
“I’ve never been so sure in my life.”
Within seconds, I found myself back underneath the covers with her. Without breaking the kiss we went back to, I settled myself in between her soft and smooth thighs although I held myself back long enough to reach over into my nightstand drawer. For several seconds, I rambled my hand through the drawer until she took it upon herself to step in.
“I’ll get it,” she chuckled as she stopped kissing me to reach over into the drawer. However, I kept kissing her up and down her bare arm.
Once everything fell back into place, she and I had an incredible time exploring each other’s bodies. Before I knew what was happening, she was calling out my name over the crashing thunder as she tightened her legs around my waist.
Needless to say, the next morning when I woke up I had a huge smile on my face until I rolled over and discovered that Talia wasn’t next to me.
“Damn, I KNOW I shouldn’t have went there with her,” I scolded myself in anger while sitting up and scratching the top of my head. But I was somewhat relieved when I heard sounds coming from my kitchen.
“Good morning,” she smiled when she saw me. She quickly made her way over to the oven. When she turned her back to me to open the door to take her breakfast quiche out, all I could focus on was her long legs and the top of her thick thighs that was barely covered by her t-shirt.
“Good morning,” I finally managed to say as I continued to watch her.
“I thought I’d surprise you with breakfast but you were sleeping so peacefully when I woke up that I was gonna wait to wake you up when it was done.”
“Well I guess it was good timing on my part to wake up just in time.”
“Yup.” She was about to walk past me to get a couple of glasses from the dishwasher to pour us something to drink when I grabbed her hand and pulled her back towards me.
“What’s wrong?”
“I need to apologize for what I did last night.”
“What did you do?” She had a look of total confusion on her face.
“Takin’ advantage of you at the most vulnerable time in your life.”
“But…”
“I feel like such a fuckin’ dog for doin’ this to you.”
“But…”
“If you never want to talk to me again, I’ll understand.”
“Nas, stop!” she laughed with a shake of her head. “Are you listenin’ to yourself? Think about it. If I thought for one minute that you had done somethin’ wrong to me would I be standin’ here makin’ breakfast for you?”
“So what are you tryna say?” I asked with a sly grin as I placed my arms around her waist.
“I’m sayin’ that while the breakfast cools maybe we should go for round two before work.” She lifted her lips up to mine and softly kissed me.[glow=ff3399,2,300]***Part 3 Comin' Soon***[/glow]
