As everyone was leaving the Staples Center after the celebrity basketball game that I was involved with as one of the team players (my team won that shit too), that's when I noticed Cara walking alongside of our girl, Amaya. I hadn't seen Cara since the day she left me about two months ago when she caught me red-handed with another female. Ever since then, I'd been missing her like crazy, but she just wasn't trying to hear shit from me. Well now that I was this close to her, I was gonna make her talk to me so we could work things out once and for all. Besides, she was the first shorty that I had actually fallen in love with, only to fuck shit up by messing around with a groupie that meant absolutely nothing to me.
"Bow Wow! Can I take a pic with you? Please, please, please?!" an overzealous preteen female fan pleaded as she ran over to me along with a few more girls.
"Now's not a good time," I smiled. "But if you stay here, I promise I'll be back in a few minutes, okay?"
Her look of disappointment changed into a look of happiness as she quickly nodded her head.
I turned and began to half-run over to Cara. When I was about five feet away from her, I called out her name. I noticed how a pissed look came over her face as she and Amaya looked over in my direction. When I saw Cara about to turn away, I caught up to her just in time and grabbed her hand.
"What is it? Can't you see I was talkin'?" she snapped while snatching her hand out of mine.
"Cara, please...all I ask for is five minutes," I pleaded as I grabbed up to both of her hands.
"Shad, I don't have time..." she sighed out of frustration until we were interrupted by the sound of an argument breaking out between two dudes nearby.
"Nigga, fuck you!" one yelled out to the other. Over the next few seconds everything seemed to move in slow motion as everybody started to scream and run in different directions at the sight of a gun being held up.
"Oh shit!" I shouted as I began pulling Cara close to me...but it was too late. The weight of her body fell back into me knocking us both to the floor as she screamed out. When I looked down at her, her white blouse was soaked with her blood from the bullet that pierced her upper chest area.
While everybody continued to run and scream all around us as a guard tackled the shooter to the ground, I frantically took my sweatshirt off placing underneath her head. That's when I noticed that her eyes were beginning to roll back in her head.
"Don't you fuckin’ do this to me!" I screamed and cried before attempting to do CPR on her. However, that shit wasn't working. I don't even remember when the paramedics who were on standby for the game came rushing through the crowd toward us. I was quickly shoved out of the way as they started working on her. I heard one of them saying that she had a weak pulse and that they had to get her to the hospital quick.
This shit couldn't be happening...it just couldn't be. I felt myself slowly sliding down the wall until I collapsed into Amaya's arms once she ran back over to me.

I had to hold up my hand to shield a blinding light from my eyes as I climbed out of the bed. My bare feet were met by the ice-cold hardness of the floor. I walked toward a window where Shad, Amaya, and a few of my other friends were standing while appearing to be in a panic and crying.
"I'm right here, boo. I'm all right,” I smiled as I placed my hand up to the window that Shad had his hands placed up against. However, the more I told him I was all right, the more frantic he became. When I glanced over my shoulder, that's when I realized that I was still on the stretcher that I had been wheeled into the hospital on. Without saying another word, I turned back around to look at Shad once more before slowly walking back over to the bed.
"She’s going into a seizure! Come on!!!" one of the doctors shouted as I watched my body violently thrashing about all over the bed.
"It's not your time, baby," a calm and soothing female voice stated from behind me. When I turned around, I saw that it was my grandmother.
"Nana?" I had to put my hand back up to my eyes to shield the blinding light from them once again.
Instead of answering me, she shook her head while looking at the medical team working on me. " We'll see each other again soon enough."
"You sure, Nana?" I asked as I looked over at my friends who were still in an upset frenzy at the window. But when I turned back around to look at her, she was gone just as quickly as she had appeared. Since I was one to never argue with her, I shrugged my shoulders before walking back over to my body lying on the bed that was beginning to subside from the convulsions it had went through just seconds before. Lying back down, I felt a soothing calmness fall over me.
"We don't have time to waste!" the head surgeon stated as he and his team of doctors wheeled my stretcher through another door of the room we were in to take me down to the main operating room. After that, I didn’t hear anything else.

"Hey, girl! You really outdid yourself with this party!" Cara grinned while giving Amaya a big hug.
Tonight, thanks to Amaya who was one of a few well-known party planners on the West Coast, she had planned a huge get-together for Cara who was not only celebrating the opening of her own boutique named Cara’s Corner on the West Coast like the one she already had on the East Coast for a little over a year, but her own fashion line called Cotton Candy that had finally launched, and her 25th birthday all of which had taken place within the same week.
"Well, hey...ya know," Amaya giggled with a shrug of her shoulders.
"I mean it though! Everything from the decorations to the ice sculptures are on point! I love it, and I can tell everyone else does too! Thank you so, so much!"
"You're very welcome!"
Just then, Amaya's friend, Chris, came walking over to them.
"What's goin' on, ma?" he smiled as he casually wrapped his arm around her waist.
"Nothin' much...what's goin' on with you?" she smiled back.
"I wanted to know if you wanted to dance since I hadn't seen you all night?"
"Sure. Oh by the way, I don't think you two have met have you?" she asked while looking from him to Cara.
"Nah," Cara faintly smiled with a shake of her head. "But I love your CD, Chris." She proceeded to extend her hand to shake his. "I'm Cara Johansen. It's nice to finally meet you."
"Nice to meet you too, ma and thanks," he grinned. "By the way, congratulations with everything."
"Awwww, thanks," she grinned back. "But I'm not gonna hold you two up from gettin' your dance on. I'll see yall in a lil' while."
Several minutes later, Cara was sitting at a table with a few of her friends that she flew out to the party that she had met years earlier in a group home back in Brooklyn, when their conversation about the good times they had growing up together was interrupted by the sound of some other female party-goers becoming excited.
"What in the world?" Cara smirked while she and her friends looked over in the direction that the sounds of the growing excitement was coming from.
"Ooh, damn!" Tanisha exclaimed in Cara's ear the moment she and the rest of the girls noticed that Bow Wow had just strolled into the party fashionably late like it was for him. As soon as he was noticed, nearly every female in the place ran over in his direction with their camera phones or napkins and pens to get his autograph.
"Oh, it's only Shad," Cara nonchalantly replied. "I've met him already when he came by Amaya’s office when she and I were plannin’ this party a couple of weeks ago. He aight."
"Cee-Cee, it's BOW WOW! And you got the nerve to sit there and be calm about this shit when a nigga as fine as him is at your party AND you know him?" Tanisha anxiously asked.
"Uh, yeah," she replied while giving her a blank look.
"Well, how about you hookin' me up with him?"
"You hook your own self up."
"C'mon, Cee-Cee...we been girls for too long for you to be actin' an ass now!"
"Maybe lata. Besides, I'm not caught up in this whole celebrity thing. I'm still tryna get used to bein' a semi-one my damn self now," Cara smirked before taking a sip of her drink.
"Well if you won't do it, I'll take my own ass ova to him to say 'w'sup'," Tanisha replied with a suck of her teeth.
However, this didn't happen because within two minutes or so, Bow Wow had somehow managed to make it over to Cara's table.
"Cara...w'sup, girl?" he grinned sounding as if he and her were long-time friends.
"Hi, Shad. W'sup?" she faintly smiled without even looking at him as she took another sip of her drink. She proceeded to glance around the table and noticed that all of her friends were looking at her in disbelief.
"I LOVE your new song, boo!" Tanisha immediately grinned as she stood up to hug him.
"Thanks," he smiled while stepping out of her embrace. He then walked around to the other side of Cara's chair and knelt down on one knee in front of her. "Congratulations and happy belated birthday."
"Thanks," she finally grinned as she looked down into his hazel-colored eyes.
"So yeah, listen...me and my peeps were about to head up to VIP. Would you and your friends like to join us?"
Before answering, she looked around the table at her girls and the way they all appeared to be growing excited, she turned back to face him while nodding her head. "Sure, why not?"
"Aight, coo'," he replied as he stood up. As soon as she and the rest of her crew was standing to their feet, Bow took a firm hold of her hand to lead the way up to the VIP room.
"Wow, I MIGHT could get use to this," Cara thought to herself with a small smile as all eyes were on her.

Meanwhile on the other side of the club, Chris and Amaya were continuing to try to get their dance on. But for the fourth time, they were interrupted by a pack of groupies, once again, who were hounding him for pictures and autographs.
"Damn, I WOULD like to dance to a full song," Amaya huffed under her breath while angrily folding her arms.
Chris heard what she said but didn't say anything before taking a few pics with his fans.
For Amaya, that was the last straw so she walked off in the opposite direction. That's when she bumped into a long-time male friend she hadn't seen in a while and began to dance with him.
Once Chris was done with his next round of female fans, he walked over to some of his boys who were standing nearby.
"Damn, man; we see you been busy tonight," one of them laughed.
"I ain't even thinkin' about all that. I got bigger problems," he huffed while glaring over at Amaya getting her party-on.
Meanwhile, up in VIP…
“Damn, so I guess that lil’ nicca thinks it’s all about him…like this is HIS party,” one of Cara’s girls named Kima snapped. At the moment, she and the rest of the crew was sitting on a large sectional sofa in the corner of the VIP lounge watching how Shad and his entourage were taking pic after pic for the press that had been allowed access into the party.
“Well it’s no secret that he’s a cocky lil’ mofo,” Cara chuckled with a shrug of her shoulders. “But he’s a fine one.”
“What’chu say?” Kima smirked before they all began to laugh.
“Ain’t no need for me to lie about it, shit.” Cara was about to place the cherry that was in her Whisky Sour in her mouth while grinning when she was stopped.
“How about we take a few pics togetha?” Shad asked with a huge grin after flopping down on the empty space next to her.
“Huh?” she asked while holding the cherry between her teeth as she quickly glanced at him.
“Let’s take some pics. C’mon, ma…it’ll be fun,” he replied while nodding his head over in the direction of the photographer who was still taking pics of his boys.
“I guess I’ll be back in a minute,” she stated while looking at her girls as Shad began to pull on her hand so she could stand up.
“Yeah, we won’t be long,” he smiled at them.
“Okay, what tha’ fuck was that shit all about?” Tanisha snapped while glaring at them as they walked away.
“Maybe she’s about to get used to livin’ the life of a celebrity after all; but I’m not gonna hate. If she likes it, I love it,” Kima replied as she stood up. “But I’m about to go back downstairs since nothin’ much is happenin’ up here, VIP or not. Yall with me?”
The rest of the girls stood up and followed her over to the door to leave.
“Excuse me for a sec,” Cara told Shad and the photographer when she noticed her girls about to leave. She quickly headed over to them. “Hey, where yall goin’?”
“We don’t wanna take up you and your man’s time,” Tanisha snapped while glaring from her to Shad who went back to taking pictures by himself.
“He’s not my man, Nisha,” she huffed with a shake of her head.
“Psssht, whateva. I’ll see ya around.” With that Tanisha stormed out the door and back downstairs.
“What the hell is her problem?”
“Girl, don’t pay her any mind, but we all decided to go back downstairs to see what’s goin’ on down there. We’ll see ya a lil’ lata.”
“Yeah…aight.” Cara watched in silence as her girls began to walk out the door one-by-one.
“Everything okay?” Shad asked after walking up behind her.
“Yeah, just my girls kinda trippin’; but oh well,” she replied with a shrug of her shoulders after turning around to face him.
For several seconds, they gazed at each other while wearing faint smiles. But when he realized that he was gazing at her a little too long, he quickly spoke up.
“Uh…so yeah…would you like anotha drink?”
“Yeah, I’ll take anotha shot of Patrón. Thanks.”
Close to thirty minutes later as the party was wrapping up, Shad and Cara had both had quite a bit to drink and were talking and laughing it up like they had been friends for years and years.
“Well, I guess I’d better be out…whoops!” she giggled as she slightly stumbled after standing to her feet. He quickly jumped up to steady her as they both began to chuckle.
“How about we go back to my place and talk some more…that’s if you feel up to it,” he slyly grinned. Besides he knew he had more than talking on his mind, but he wasn’t gonna let her on to that.
“Mmmm,” she replied while looking down at her watch that read 3:05. “Since it’s still early, okay.” However, in the back of her mind, she figured she would go along for the ride with him since it had been a while since she had any and at least she could blame it on the alcohol if anything did happen between them.
“Cool,” he grinned as he took her hand and led the way out to his limo along with his bodyguard although they were constantly being flashed by the paparazzi that had been standing around outside of her party.

After arriving home still fuming mad with Chris, Amaya went upstairs and straight to the bathroom to take a shower.
As the hot streams of water beat down on her body, she began to wonder why she had even been bothered with him to begin with. She was nearly eight years older than him, they couldn’t be seen together in public because of who he was, and they always seemed to argue more than they got along; especially when they had dates with other people.
“I need to find an older man because this shit just doesn’t seem to be workin’ out for me,” she quietly huffed to herself as she reached out to turn the shower’s knob off.
Once she was done drying herself off, she slipped her nightshirt over her head and down her body and wrapped a towel around her damp head of hair before putting her white, fluffy robe on. A few seconds later, she was almost at the bottom of the stairs to head for the kitchen to have a glass of juice when she heard her door opening.
The moment she saw Chris walking inside after using his key, she glared at him.
“W’sup?”
Instead of saying anything, she let out a frustrated sigh before walking over to the kitchen.
“Oh, so you still mad at me?” he smirked as he followed her.
Still, she wouldn’t say anything.
“Mya! I know you hear me talkin’ to your ass!” he angrily shouted. When he saw her about to walk past him, he quickly reached out and grabbed her arm.
“If you know what’s good for ya yella ass, you’ll let me go!”
“Whateva! You wanna be childish…be childish by your damn self,” he huffed after letting go of her arm. However, she noticed that instead of leaving, he made his way upstairs through the stairwell in her kitchen. Close to five minutes later, she heard the shower running above her.
“Maybe he’s right. I mean, he can’t help that he has so many female fans. Shit, if I didn’t know him the way I do, I’d more than likely be all over his ass too,” she smirked to herself before quietly chuckling with a shake of her head. She proceeded to take a seat at her table to finish her juice before heading back upstairs.
When she walked in her bedroom a few minutes later, she saw Chris sitting at the foot of the bed trying to find something on television to watch.
“Hey,” she nearly whispered while walking over to her vanity table.
He responded by cutting his eyes at her and sucking his teeth. He followed up by shaking his head as he went back to channel surfing.
Slowly removing the towel from her head, she proceeded to shake her hair back from her face. Her tightly-coiled ringlets fell softly into place on her shoulders. Biting her bottom lip to keep from smiling at how Chris was mean-mugging the television from his reflection in her mirror, she turned around to watch him.
“Somethin’ you need?” he finally asked after a few seconds when he noticed her watching him out of the corner of his eye.
Instead of answering him, she stood up removing her robe before walking over to the bed to sit next to him.
“You still my friend?” she giggled while placing her head on his shoulder.
It was his turn not to answer her; he immediately moved away. However, this became a game as she continued to inch towards him each time he moved until he ended up falling on the floor. Amaya burst out laughing while looking down at him.
“Ha, ha, ha,” he sarcastically chuckled with a roll of his eyes before he started laughing. Then before she knew what was happening, she felt him grab her by her calf. She ended up falling down next to him while letting out a loud shriek.
“I hate’chu! You know that?!” she spat while looking up at the ceiling.
“No you don’t,” he laughed as he suddenly appeared in her eyesight while hovering above her. He extended his hand to help her up, but she chose to swat his hand away as she sat then stood up. That’s when she felt him tackle her from behind as they both fell down onto the bed.
“Get off me,” she giggled as she struggled to turn over.
“You gotta say sorry first,” he replied as he started tickling her.
“No! Now stop!” she screamed and laughed until she finally gave in when it was evident that he wasn’t having any mercy on her.
“That’s betta,” he smirked as he lifted his body up enough from hers so she could turn over. As soon as she did, they both began to laugh as he lowered his mouth down onto hers.

“Nice place,” Cara smiled as she walked in Shad’s house ahead of him.
“Thanks,” he smiled back before pulling his black sweater over his head. He then proceeded to kick his Timbs off leaving them underneath a chair in his foyer while tossing his sweater in the chair.
When she glanced at him, she felt herself becoming flustered by the sight of him in his white wife-beater, jeans, and socks while showing off his tatted arms.
“Could I have a drink of water?” she asked quickly turning away from him.
“Sure,” he grinned knowing exactly what he was doing. He took her by her hand and led them into his kitchen.
On the way there, she noticed that she was about 2 inches taller than him now that he had taken his shoes off. That’s when she asked him if it was okay for her to take her heels off.
“Yeah, ma. That’s coo’.”
He proceeded to head over to the refrigerator to grab a bottle of water out for her. In the meantime, she sat down at the table and crossed her leg exposing a bit of her thigh that peeked out from underneath her skirt as she began to unbuckle one of her heels to take off. When she noticed that the light from the refrigerator was shining in her direction a lot longer than she thought it should have that’s when she glanced up and saw Shad standing in front of it while holding her water.
“You okay?” she faintly smiled while looking at him.
“What?” he asked while keeping a tight grip on the water as his eyes stayed glued to watching her cross her other leg to take her other heel off.
“Shad? My water?” she giggled as she stopped what she was doing to glance back up at him.
“Oh,” he nervously chuckled while closing the refrigerator, “My bad. Here you go.”
“Thanks.” Taking the bottle of water from him while standing to her feet, she unscrewed the cap and took a quick sip. “Whew, that hit the spot.”
With his mouth slightly opened, he slowly nodded his head while gazing at her.
“Is there someplace I could put my shoes until I leave?”
“Uh, yeah…you can put them in here in the den,” he replied as he walked out of the kitchen ahead of her.
Once she put her shoes down next to the sofa, he asked her if she’d like a quick tour of his home.
During the entire time, they held hands as he took her around his place. However, he left his master bedroom for last after they took a look around at the other rooms upstairs.
“This is where I crash,” he grinned while opening the door for her.
Upon walking inside after he turned on the floor lamp next to the entrance of the door, Cara wore an approving look on her face as she took everything in. His room was simple but trendy. He had a king-sized bed covered with a black-and-white comforter with the matching silk sheets, pillows, and throw pillows to match. The bed was also draped in a sheer white canopy coming from his ceiling. Over on the far side of the room was a plush black chaise sitting in front of a large sit-in window. His dresser was black with a large round mirror attached to it. On the wall in front of his bed was a remote-controlled fireplace and a flat-screen television and stereo system embedded in an open space right above it.
While she continued to walk around his room admiring the few pieces of black-and-white artwork hanging on the walls, he grabbed the remote from his nightstand to turn the stereo on. When Cara heard Tony!Toni!Tone!’s “It Never Rains In Southern California” she glanced over her shoulder and smirked at him.
“Nice touch,” she stated as she took a seat on his chaise. She proceeded to take another drink of her water. His response was a light chuckle as he walked over to the lamp to dim it before turning the fireplace on. He then made his way over in her direction and sat down next to her.
“I try,” he grinned as he slowly wrapped his arm around her waist. Then without thinking twice about it, he leaned over and placed a soft kiss on her neck.
“Excuse you!” she giggled while scooting away from him.
“What?” he smiled as he scooted closer to her. However, before she could answer him, he went on. “I meant to tell you earlier that I love your dimple.” He took his free hand and proceeded to slowly run his index finger across it which made her giggle some more. When she tried to move away from him once again, he pulled her closer to him with his arm that was still wrapped around her waist. He then took the same finger he’d been stroking her dimple with to place it underneath her chin to turn her head to face him. He quickly leaned forward and kissed her…slowly at first. But when Cara felt him parting her mouth with his tongue that he’d been seductively running back and forth across her bottom lip, she quickly jumped up.
“May…maybe I should be goin’,” she stammered as she walked to the middle of the room standing directly in front of his bed with her back to him. She knew that if she played the shy role, Shad wouldn’t look at her as just another female to bag although that’s what SHE wanted.
“I’m sorry, Cara. I guess I got carried away,” he apologized as he walked up behind her. “I can have my driver take you home.” He knew that if he played the role of trying to be the perfect gentleman who regretted going that far with her, she would more than likely give in.
She took a deep sigh as she turned around to face him. “No don’t be…it’s just that…well I don’t want you to think that I…,” she started until he interrupted her.
“I don’t,” he smiled while taking her hand into his. “I guess that’s why I crossed the line with you. I’m really feelin’ you, ma.”
“For real?” she bashfully smiled.
“Yeah,” he grinned as he lifted his finger to run it across her dimple again.
She looked away from him for a few seconds while pretending to contemplate about the matter at hand. “Okay, maybe I can stay for a lil’ while longer.”
“You sure?” he asked while grinning on the inside although on the outside he was faking a look of concern.
Biting her bottom lip, she nodded her head.
They both proceeded to lean towards each other to kiss again. But this time, he wrapped his arms around her as he pulled them back towards his bed. As soon as she was on top of him, he was in for a pleasant surprise when she began to grind against him while sucking on his tongue like there was no tomorrow. It wasn’t long before she had to reposition herself above him without breaking their kiss when she felt him rising to the occasion beneath her. That was her cue to take the liberty of removing his shirt while he anxiously unbuttoned her blouse then pushed it off her shoulders.
“Damn,” he thickly sighed when he saw the red lacy bra she was wearing. Without hesitation, he forcefully pushed her over onto her back while settling in between her legs. When she felt him reach up underneath her skirt to pull her matching boyshorts down, she quickly stopped him.
“Ummm…you do know you can’t get none of this without somethin’ right?”
“Don’t worry, ma. I got that covered; trust me,” he smirked before lowering his mouth back down to hers. She was about to protest once more until she felt him lift himself up just enough to reach for something in his pocket. Breaking their kiss long enough to open their protection with his teeth, she helped him put it on as they went back to their lip action.
“Oh shit!” she gasped as she tightly shut her eyes while sinking her nails in his back once he quickly pushed himself inside her several seconds later.
His response was laughter as he began to try to literally knock the bottom out.
“You cocky-ass muthaphucka!” she thought to herself when she heard him laughing although he was handling his. She had to give him that. But what she didn’t do was let him know that he had her on the verge of screaming time and time again. What happened instead was that she felt her hips lifting up off the bed to match his rhythm as he picked up the pace with each thrust. When he felt that familiar feeling coming on, he nearly shoved his tongue down her throat to mask his groan of satisfaction although his body did tense up and shiver. Afterwards, all of his bodyweight fell down on her. And all of this took a total of four minutes.
“Damn, this arrogant nigga gon’ make a heffa start stalkin’ his ass!” she thought to herself while catching her breath back and staring up at the ceiling.
“Shit, this broad gon’ make a nigga stalk her ass 24/7!” he thought to himself while heavily breathing in her ear.
Without saying anything, she began to sit up while gently pushing him away from her.
“What’s wrong?” he asked while watching her button her blouse back up.
“Nothin’,” she mumbled before glancing over at him. “I just think it’s time for me to go so you can have your space and time alone.” She reached across him as he sat up to grab her boyshorts. Sticking her feet through them, she swiftly pulled them up while standing to her knees.
“Wait…don’t go anywhere,” he hastily replied as he jumped up from the bed to go in his bathroom to take care of something. He returned a second or two later while zipping his jeans.
“What is it?” she asked as she threw her legs over her side of the bed to stand up and tuck her blouse back in her skirt.
“Well, it’s just that if you have to leave I undastand, but I don’t want you to go if you don’t really have to.” He couldn’t believe that he was actually saying this to a female after sex. This was a DEFINITE first for him.
Obviously, Cara couldn’t believe it either. “Shad, are you serious?” she asked as she turned around to face him.
“Yeah, I guess so,” he faintly smiled as he walked over to her. “I want to know all there is to know about you…if you give me that chance.”
“Whoa,” she blushed while purposely looking away from him. She hadn’t heard this from any guy before. She was just used to being a buddy here and a buddy there in the past.
“So is that a yes?” he smirked as he pulled her to him.
“Yeah,” she chuckled with a nod of her head.
“Okay, so since it’s stormin’ outside why don’t we go downstairs and I’ll make us somethin’ to eat instead of us goin’ out?”
“You cook?”
“Well, if ‘Hot Pockets’ count,” he sheepishly laughed.
“Damn,” she laughed back with a shake of her head. Leaning forward, she placed a quick kiss on his nose. “How about you let ME make us somethin’ to eat? But first I need to take a quick shower.”
“Aight…I think I’ll join you,” he grinned.
“No complaints here,” she smirked before they both started laughing as they leaned in and shared a quick peck.

“Hello?” Amaya groggily answered after snatching the phone from her nightstand. When she glanced at the clock, it read 5:27 a.m.
“Hi, Amaya? This is Jermaine,” a male voice replied.
“Who?” she asked while lying back down on her back.
“Jermaine...Jermaine O’Neal? I met you at Cara’s party last night.”
“Oh okay…yeah, w’sup?” she asked while closing her eyes and placing her hand on top of her head.
By this time, Chris woke up and began to try to eavesdrop on the conversation that was taking place.
“Well, I hate to call you so early in the mornin’, but since it’s still fresh on my mind, I’ve decided that I want you to do a party for my girl. Could we meet over lunch one day this week to go over the details for it?”
“Ummm…I’ll have to check my schedule. I’ll call you back to let’chu know what day I’m available for this week.”
“Aight…thanks. I guess I’ll head down to the gym. I’ll be waitin’ to hear from you.”
“Aight. Bye,” she yawned. She was about to wonder why he’d be going out to the gym in the middle of a heavy thunderstorm, but then she could’ve cared less.
“Bye.”
Amaya proceeded to clumsily place the phone back on her nightstand.
“Who was that?” Chris asked as he rolled over to face her.
“What?” She opened her eyes and looked over at him.
“Who was that nigga you was juss talkin’ to?”
She immediately shot up in the bed while glaring at him. “Wait a minute! What gives you the right to ask about calls I receive when I’ve never said shit about all them females bein’ all up on YOUR ass?!”
“So that’s what this is about after all, huh?” Chris smirked while shaking his head.
“Shut the hell up!” she barked as she turned her back to him while pulling the covers over her head. “And for your nosey-ass information, that was a business call!”
“At 5:30 in the mornin’?”
“I told you all you need to know. Good night.”
“Maya!” he huffed while sitting up and shaking her shoulder. Suddenly, a loud boom of thunder surrounded them followed by the lights going out.
“Maybe that’ll shut your ass up now,” she mumbled while pulling the covers tighter over her.
Sucking his teeth, he jumped out the bed and headed over to the bathroom. Several seconds later, she heard him taking a long pee. After hitting the handle, he was about to walk back in the room until she stopped him.
“I didn’t hear you put the seat down.”
Quickly turning back around, he reached his arm in the bathroom to slam it down.
“There…you happy now?!” he snapped as he made his way back over to the bed in the darkness although lightning was dancing throughout the room every few seconds. He was almost back to the bed, when he stubbed his toe on the footboard.
“Ahhhhhh shit…dammit!” he wailed as he fell down on his back while holding his foot in his hands.
“You okay?” Amaya asked as she quickly took off crawling down to the foot of the bed where he was.
“You made me do it!” he replied while vigorously rubbing his big toe as he glanced over his shoulder at her.
“Oh, so I made you do it?” she smirked.
“Yeah, you made me do it! If that nigga hadn’t called you, then I wouldn’t have woke up and went to take a much needed piss even though I couldn’t hardly see shit in here! And THEN if you hadda juss let me come back to bed instead of makin’ me put the seat down when you coulda put it down your damn self when you went in there, then I wouldn’t be sittin’ up here with a toe that hurts like hell!”
She and Chris glared at each other for several seconds as the lightning continued to dance around them. Then out of nowhere she burst out laughing.
“You’re such a damn baby that it’s pathetic!” she smirked as she crawled back up to her side of the bed.
“I bet’cha wasn’t dealin’ with a baby a couple of hours ago wit’cha ol’ ass,” he smirked back as he continued to rub his toe.
“Boy, please,” she sighed as she went underneath the covers.
“What? You know what the deal is when it comes to how I handle mine and ain’t no damn baby I know can do the shit I do.”
“Will you please shut up? Damn!” Evidently, Amaya thought her request had been granted by him until she felt him crawling back up to the head of the bed. However, instead of going back over to his side, she felt him pulling the covers back enough to snuggle up behind her.
“I’m sorry, Maya,” he sighed before placing light kisses on her neck.
“Mmmm hmmm.”
“C’mere,” he whispered as he turned her over on her back while he repositioned himself above her. Before she had a chance to say anything, he had already begun to deeply kiss her while stretching his arm out far enough to grab a needed item from her nightstand drawer. Quickly slipping it on, he pushed himself forward and began to slowly make love to her.
“You know I hate’chu, right?” she sighed while holding him close to her.
“Yeah…I hate’chu too,” he whispered before they both began to quietly chuckle.
But close to ten minutes later, their quiet pillow talk had been traded in for loud moans and cries as Chris proved to her once again that he was no baby.[glow=navy,1,200]***Part 2 Comin' Soon***[/glow]
